With Facebook CPM or Cost Per Impression you pay a fee evey time your ad is assumed to be viewed by a prospect. Every time your ad flashes on the screen of one of the people you chose to target Facebook assumes that they have viewed your ad and charges your account the agreed upon fee. Again, with Facebook CPM you get to choose all of the factors for your ad inclusing the URL, the amount you want to pay and who you want to market to. Facebook CPC vs CPM - Which is Better? Well, whether Facebook CPC pr Facebook CPM is better or more effective than the other is relative and seems to be purely situational. Right now, I'm using Facebook CPC and I like the fact that I know exactly how many people are interested in my ad because they clicked on it. I also like that I'm not paying for people to browse my ad. Of course, you need to target groups of people that you think will be most interested in your ad whether you choose to use Facebook CPC or Facebook CPM but I tend to like paying for clicks vs impressions. I have, however used both Facebook CPC and CPM and I have had results with both so I would definitely recommend that you try using both and see which one converts better for you. As I stated before, there is no clear cut answer to the question of which is better when talking about Facebook CPC vs CPM. It's best to create a series of ads using different combinations of pictures, text, targeted groups, CPC and CPM and just see which ones do better. The ones that don't perform well can be paused or deleted and the ads that do perform well can be scaled up with a bigger daily buudget and allowed to run longer. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to marketing, it's all about testing to see which ads perform the best and using those ads for as long as they work. Facebook CPC vs CPM - How to Test Ads As with any type of ad Facebook CPC and CPM ads need to be tweaked and tested. All ads have various moving parts and factors that go into them. There's the actual group of people that you're targeting, the landing or capture page that you send your prospects to, the text of the ad and the picture that you choose. All of these things individually and in tandem can make or break your Facebook CPC or CPM ad. If your ad is not getting any clicks or very little clicks you need to look at the text and the picture, Ask yourself these questions - Is the picture eye catching? Does the picture illustrate what the text says? Make sure that the image that you choose and the text that is written beside it are cohesive. If your Facebook CPC or CPM ad is gerring clicks but no one is putting in their email address and you aren't getting leads then there's something wrong with the landing/capture page you chose. First (and this should be done before your ad goes active), make sure that you have your auto responder set up and do some live testing to ensure that it is working properly. If you know your autoresponder is working then you may need to swap out your landing page. Either your landing page is not cohesive with the ad text that you chose or it;s not a high converting landing page and doesn't make people want to leave their email address in order to get to the next step. Either way, it needs to be tweaked in some way because you're spending money to get those people to that page and it's all for naught if you don't get any leads. The point of creating ads and capturing leads is to build a list so that you have someone to market to on a daily basis. You can not call yourself a network marketer if you don't have people to market to. This is the meat and potatoes of your business so analyze the cracks in your foundation and patch them up before you waste money and get nothing in return. A high performance Facebook CPC or CPM ad will work at every phase so test for a day or two, tweak the parts of your ad that aren't performing and test again. After nearly 2 hours of question and answer live here on YouTube, it became clear that the question of "what type of Facebook ad campaign is best?" is a huge confusing point for most people. There is a large segment of people who seem to believe that you need to run a pay per engagement campaign first to build engagement on an ad or on an advertising account before running a conversion based campaign. I believe this comes from some course and it makes no sense to me. This video looks at how the different Facebook advertising campaigns are structured and reveal why Facebook uses these different campaign types. Is always important to remember that Facebook has a very large volume of data on every single Facebook user. This data is not simply your age, gender, location… Facebook understands whether you frequently make purchases online, whether you prefer to use cash or credit card, they even are able to tell if you're in the market for a new car. They also know if you're highly engaged user on Facebook, if you're an active contributor to Facebook, or if you're more of a lurker here on Facebook. This data can help enhance your advertising campaigns on Facebook! Making sure you align your campaign objective with your ultimate goal of the advertising campaign is absolutely necessary. If you are trying to build your email list with Facebook pay per click campaigns, you should be running conversion-based campaigns. If you are trying to sell a tripwire offer, you should also be running conversion-based Facebook campaigns. If you are pre-launching a product and looking to get exposure for a video that tells a brand story or reveals a product coming soon... It makes more sense to get engagements on that kind of content. This is where you would use a pay per engagement campaign because you are able to boost the virality of that content and the only goal of that content is to get viewers to watch. If you want to run an inbound marketing campaign forced to step Facebook pay per click campaign, then it can make sense to set up one cost per click or traffic based campaign and one conversion-based retargeting campaign. Because your mileage may vary and your niche may respond differently than other niches on Facebook. With that said there are some best practices and more advantageous starting points based on data from millions of dollars in ads spent and conversations from Facebook advertising representatives. The data that I'm seeing, the data that my teachers are sharing, the data that the Facebook representatives are offering state very clearly… Align your advertising goal with the campaign type that most represents the action you want the user to take and Facebook will deliver you more of those people in the long term. There are great paid products to help you spy on your competitors but you can do it for free using the search bar if you are on a budget. To do so, go to the search bar and type in something like this: “Posts about “free shipping “coffee cups”” You can replace “free shipping” with some other type of common offer like 50% off, and replace “coffee cups” with whatever item you are dropshipping from Aliexpress. Now Facebook will search for posts that include this text. Most likely, posts that use these types of words/phrases in them are ads, so you can go through and spy on posts that have a high engagement. Something to keep in mind is that just because a post has a lot of engagement doesn’t mean it was necessarily profitable, it just means that quite a bit of money was spent on it. Sometimes people will spend money on ads that don’t work - so it’s not a foolproof way to see, but it helps. #2 Of Our Facebook Ad Tips: SelectProduct Conversion” for your Facebook Objective When doing Aliexpress dropshipping and creating your ads, you’ll be able to select and objective for your ad. This is the objective that Facebook will focus on. The only objective you should select is “conversion” - specifically, a product conversion. In addition, you can also set it up so that each of your individual products has their own product conversion pixel. If you go to this extra effort, it will help Facebook put the ad in front of the right audience specifically for that individual product. #3 Of Our Facebook Ad Tips: The Higher Your Ad Budget, the Better Quality Visitors You’ll Target On Facebook, not all users are equal. Some users engage on posts a lot, click on ads and buy things from ads shown to them on Facebook. On the other hand, some users don’t engage much, don’t click on many links and are less likely to buy things from ads they are shown on Facebook. Users that engage a lot cost more to be advertised to compared to those that don’t. When you start advertising on Facebook with a small ad budget ($3-5/day) you’ll initially have your ad shown to lower-quality users because they are cheaper and Facebook doesn’t want to blow your budget. As you scale your advertising to $40-200/day, you’ll hit higher quality users, and once you scale to $200+ day you’ll hit the most engaged users. You need to slowly scale up your campaign to hit the right user base for your ad so that you can discover what Fred likes to call the “sweet spot.” #4 Of Our Facebook Ad Tips: Don’t Get Penalized by Audience Overlap When advertising on Facebook and testing multiple products, if you use the same audience targeting for each product, you’ll risk your ads overlapping and competing with each other. If ads start to compete with each other, then the CPM will skyrocket. To avoid this, try and create unique targeting for each product you test if possible, and exclude the interests you targeted in your other ads. #5 Of Our Facebook Ad Tips: Be Aware of “Forced Likes” and “Likes by Association.” When selecting your Facebook targeting, you will encounter broad keywords like “Coffee.” Broad keywords like this will target a huge range of people, plenty of which don’t actually like coffee, because of “forced likes” and “likes by association.” For example, you may not like coffee, but you might click like on a post your friend made about drinking a great cup of coffee because you like your friend and like that they are enjoying it. Because you clicked like on a status related to coffee, you’ve now sent a signal to Facebook to include you in this broad targeting. To avoid this, look for keywords that are targeted. You can identify targeted ones by selecting long-tail keywords and keywords with lowercase letters that don’t use any uppercase letters. #6 Of Our Facebook Ad Tips: Focus on the Important Information in Your Facebook Analytics Account Inside your analytics account, Facebook gives you a lot of data, a lot of it is unhelpful. Focus on these 4 metrics when analyzing if a product is performing well and create your own custom column of data to analyze: 1) Cost per purchase (CPP) 2) Cost per click link (CPM) 3) Click through rate link (CTR) 4) Cost per miles (CPM)

I haven't posted any content lately, I've been dealing with some personal issues. In order to have a successful ad, you will have to know if it has the potential based on the data collected. You do not need to spend a lot to test if the product/targeting has a potential to win. Most people just do not know when to kill the ad, they will let it keep running thinking that it will take a few more days to optimize. The main data you want to look at (Website Conversion/PPE): CPC (link) = This shows how much it will cost per link click. You want this number to be low as possible. Usually, my winning ads have a CPC of $0.10-$0.50 CPC. If you are getting a lot of cheap link clicks but no purchases, this may show that there is something wrong with your product page like price, images, trust, and etc. CPM - This shows how much it will cost to show your ad to 1000 people. You want this to be lower than $5 which show that your ad is showing to more people because facebook found the right audience for cheap CPM. Usually, some of my winning products only cost $0.50-$2.00 CPM. If the CPM is way too high over $10 after 3-4 days to optimize, you may want to kill it and test another. Cost Per Purchase - This show how much it will cost you to spend on your ad to get a purchase. If you are spending way too much per purchase than the product, kill the ad especially if it's a WC. You want to do the math it would be : Selling price - Cost of product - Cost Per Purchase = Total Profit. CTR % (Link) - You want your CTR to be at least 1% - 10% Frequency - Shows how many times the same person viewed your ad. Usually, a frequency below 2 is ok. Impression - This shows how many people your ad has been shown to. If you have a lot of impressions but no clicks, this indicates that your targeting is off. Purchase Pixel - This tracks how many times someone made a purchase after clicking on your ad. Add to Cart Pixel - This tracks how many times someone adds to cart after clicking on your ad. If you are having a lot of add to cart but no purchase, this indicates that there may be something wrong after adding to cart like the price, shipping price, payment method.
